Frequently asked questions about our diving safaris

Have questions you want answers to?

We require a current certification, signed check-in form and a diving medical certificate or a medical self-disclosure from each diver.

If questions about medical problems, operations and medication are answered in the affirmative on the medical self-disclosure form, the fitness to dive must be determined by a local doctor or clinic before the start of the trip.

We usually offer 3-4 dives per day during the safari. Night dives are prohibited in the marine parks.

Every diver must carry an ENOS system. The ENOS is provided in working order, in case of loss or damage the diver is fully liable.
All dives are no-decompression dives.
For emergencies we have 3 x 50 litre oxygen tanks, a first aid box, emergency cabin and a defibrillator on board.
We recommend taking out special insurance for diving accidents which also covers the costs of decompression chamber treatment.
DECO International Pressure Chamber Support Programme

For €7.00 you can take out Deco insurance on board, which covers your first treatment in the hyperbaric chamber and is valid for 2 weeks. The €7.00 is primarily intended as support for maintaining the hyperbaric chamber and does not replace diving accident insurance.
Every diver must have the following equipment:

Dive computer, surface buoy, mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy compensator, regulator with alternative air supply, diving torch (for night dives), weight belt or weight-integrated jacket.

Rental equipment is not normally available on board. If a diver requires rental equipment, please email us at least 2 weeks before arrival to ensure that the equipment is ready.

We recommend that everyone has the most important spare parts such as mask straps, fin straps and repair kits for their diving equipment with them. Also batteries, gaskets and spare bulbs for the dive light.
Nitrox 32% is available on the Alia Soul at no extra charge. Please bring your Nitrox licence.

If you do not yet have a Nitrox licence, you can do the course on board.
We also offer SSI training courses on board.
Advanced Adventure, Nitrox, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving and more. Please contact us if you are interested.
Requirement OWD, for the south tours and BDE at least 30 dives and Advanced Adventure (AOWD) or OWD with a minimum of 50 dives.

In Marine Park destinations, the dive guides are authorised to exclude you from certain dives, or the route can be changed accordingly.
